hidden11 is a daily football (soccer) lineup puzzle you play in the browser. Every day there is a hidden lineup to uncover across Easy, Medium and Hard, using clues about each player, and you can share your result and challenge friends. Free to play, no account, no download.

What it does

  • The puzzle: pick five players — goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, winger and striker — to match the hidden lineup, with six attempts per difficulty.
  • Clues: each of the five clues tells you something about a hidden player — club, league, nationality or trophies.
  • Feedback: green for an exact match, yellow when the player shares club, league, nationality or position with the answer, black when there is no connection.
  • Three tiers: finishing Easy unlocks Medium, and Medium unlocks Hard.
  • Daily and global: a new puzzle every day at midnight Europe/Madrid, the same for everyone in the world.
  • Archive: replay past puzzles without touching your streak or stats; answer pages add real context per player — club, league, nationality, former clubs and honours.
  • Share and challenge: a compact one-line-per-difficulty result to share, and challenge links that show your rival’s score and a head-to-head verdict when they play the same day, optionally with your name.
  • Installable as a phone app (PWA) with an opt-in daily reminder.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play hidden11?

Read the five clues — each tells you something about a hidden player: their club, league, nationality or trophies — then pick a goalkeeper, a defender, a midfielder, a winger and a striker and validate. Green means an exact match, yellow means the player shares club, league, nationality or position with the answer, black means no connection. You have six attempts per difficulty; solving Easy unlocks Medium and Medium unlocks Hard.

Is hidden11 free?

Yes. hidden11 is completely free, plays in any browser and needs no download and no account. You can install it on your phone as a web app and, if you want, turn on a daily reminder. The site is supported by an optional sponsorship slot rather than by charging players.

When does the new puzzle come out?

Every day at midnight in the Europe/Madrid timezone, and it is the same puzzle for every player in the world, which is what makes sharing results and challenging friends work. If you miss a day, the archive lets you replay past puzzles without affecting your streak or your stats.

Can I challenge a friend?

Yes. After finishing, share your result: it produces a compact line per difficulty plus a challenge link. When your friend opens the link and plays the same day’s puzzle, the result screen shows your score next to theirs with a head-to-head verdict. You can attach a display name so the challenge page and its preview image read ‘<name> challenges you’.

Which languages is hidden11 available in?

English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese, each with its own home page, how-to-play and archive. Player clues and the context on answer pages — club, league, nationality, former clubs and honours — are localised too. Switching language is a matter of opening the localised home page — for example /es for Spanish — and the daily puzzle is the same lineup in all six, so friends who play in different languages can still challenge each other.
