Quipu Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Quipu is a keyboard-first client for Vikunja, an open-source, self-hosted task manager. Quipu does not have its own server or backend, does not run analytics or tracking, and does not collect, sell, or share any personal data.
What Quipu stores, and where
- Your Vikunja server address and API token are stored in the iOS/iPadOS Keychain, optionally synced across your own devices via your personal iCloud Keychain. Quipu never sends this information anywhere except directly to the Vikunja server you configure.
- Your tasks, projects, and labels live entirely on the Vikunja server you connect to — a server you own or control, or a third-party host you’ve chosen. Quipu is simply a client for it.
- An optional home-screen widget shares your server address, token, and Inbox project id with the widget extension via an iOS App Group, stored locally on your device only.
Third parties
Quipu does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only network connection Quipu makes is to the Vikunja server address you provide in Settings.
